Cleaning the HVAC DUCT work

Cleaning the HVAC ductwork in our home is an important need for my family, particularly because of my daughter's disability. Clean air circulation and reduced dust, allergens, and contaminants are essential to maintaining a healthy living environment and supporting her overall well-being. The cost to have the HVAC ductwork professionally cleaned is approximately $500–$600, which is a significant expense for our family at this time. I have explored other sources of assistance, including my daughter's CADI Waiver, but this service is not covered through those programs.

Vulnerable adult that has been scammed out of all of his money needs help paying a phone bill

A vulnerable adult in our community has been repeatedly targeted by scammers who have taken money from him. He is now in a position where we are implementing protective measures, but he will not be able to access any of his Social Security funds for two months until these protections are secured. Due to the scams, he has fallen behind on many of his bills, lost his vehicle, and now has an outstanding bill of $119 with Comcast/Xfinity that he cannot afford to pay. This bill is for his cell phone. He relies on his cell phone daily, and without it, he feels cut off from the world, especially since he has no vehicle and no way to leave his home.

Daycare payment

A young, single mother is in need of financial assistance for daycare for two kids as a prepayment to secure a spot. This mother is actively working to create stability and long-term success for her family. This mother has overcome significant challenges throughout her life, including strained family relationships, mental health struggles, and chemical health concerns. Despite these barriers, she has remained committed to her recovery and the wellbeing of her children. Recently, she secured daycare for two of her children, which is a major step toward maintaining employment and creating consistency for her family. However, she is in need of $500 to cover the required two-week daycare prepayment. Without this support, she risks losing the childcare placements that are essential to her ability to work and continue progressing toward stability. Providing this assistance would not only support her employment goals but would also provide her children with a safe and structured environment where they can learn and thrive during the day. Any support toward this childcare expense would make a meaningful and immediate impact on their stability and continued success.

Carseat

I am the Saint Francis Regional Medical Emergency Department Social Worker. I have a mom and child in the emergency room after experiencing domestic violence. The child needs a toddler car seat - like a "all in one" convertable car seat. Still needs to be able to be backward facing but also if could transition to forward facing as the child grows that would be ideal. Car seat should weight range from like 20-40 pounds preferred or larger range would be even better.

Help Keep Someone Moving Forward

One of the men in our program is working hard and doing well. He recently secured a job as a facility manager, which requires him to drive between multiple locations each day—sometimes several trips a day. Reliable transportation is becoming essential for him to keep succeeding at work. The good news: he can do the labor himself and repair his own vehicle. He just needs help getting the parts. Current needs for his 2009 Honda Civic EX Coupe: • Front and rear rotors/brake kit – approximately $175 • Quick struts with coil springs + rear shock absorbers – approximately $200–275 Total need: approximately $375–450

Support for a Local Shakopee Family After Infant Loss Over the Weekend

Over the weekend, a local Shakopee family heartbreakingly lost their infant to SIDS. As they begin navigating unimaginable grief, funeral arrangements, and the trauma of returning to their apartment after this tragic loss, we are hoping to help provide a hotel stay for the family for one week so they have a safe space to grieve and begin healing. During times like these, even small acts of support can make a tremendous difference for a family carrying such overwhelming heartbreak.

Transportation needs

Adult male does not have license or transportation money, he currently has 70 plus days sober and is in treatment, is using his bike to get to work and treatment, however, could really utilize UBER/LYFT card to get to meetings, therapy, sober events not local, work and/or treatment when the weather is inclement, so a card would last him a long time and remove the barrier of transportation. He is living in a sober house, so many people also do not drive, and he is really working on changing his life around, as he recently obtained employment and is working on rebuilding his relationships.
