Friday’s Featured Need: Seeking Help for a Young Woman in Need of a Reliable Car

We’re reaching out to support a young woman in our community who is working hard to build a stable life after enduring tremendous loss. At just 19 years old, she has faced more than most. Earlier this year, her father tragically passed away in a car accident in Las Vegas. Prior to that, he had been struggling with mental health challenges and moved away, leaving Kiana in Minnesota under the care of others. Her mother is unable to be in her life due to addiction. Despite these hardships, she has shown incredible resilience. She works at a coffee shop in Savage and has been riding her bike to work from Prior Lake. This would have been her first car—her grandfather and uncle bought it for her—but sadly, the transmission broke down just one month after she started driving it. We are hoping to help her find a dependable vehicle so she can continue to work and move toward a more secure future. If you or someone you know can donate a reliable car or help toward one, it would truly be life-changing. Thank you for showing up for those who need a little extra support. Together, we can make a lasting difference.

Helping a Domestic Abuse Survivor Her Children Start Over

This weekend, we received a request for help for a young family in Shakopee going through an incredibly difficult time. The mother, a survivor of severe domestic abuse, is starting over with her children after years of trauma. Due to the situation, their previous home became very cluttered and full and is now being cleared out. While they have received generous donations of new furniture, the children still need clothing and other items, as a lot of what they had was thrown away. We are hoping to rally support to provide this family with the essentials to help them transition into this new chapter with comfort and stability. Any contribution—big or small—can make a meaningful difference in their healing process. If you’re able to help or would like more details, please reach out. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
