Help Now | Furniture and Your DecoratingDamascus Way Reentry Center provides reentry leadershipand services using a Christ-Centered approach. Their core service model supports residents with: a stable housing pathway, employment and career readiness programming, and healthy community connections-all aiming at reversing the cycle of recidivism. Damascus Way is ready to open their new home in Prior Lake. This is a great opportunity for people needing to hit the reset button for their lives. As a community this is a great opportunity to make this house a home. This need is perfect for anyone that likes to decorate, organize and imagine the possibilities! The great thing about this need is that you don't have to take on the whole house, you can offer to help with one room, or as many rooms as you like. As an example, maybe your mens group would like to set up the garage, or your church might want to decorate a bedroom, or your business might have office furniture and want to set up the conference room. The house needs the following: -Complete kitchen set up for cooking and eating. -2 dining areas; 1 informal, 1 formal. -4 bedrooms decorated and made up for sleeping. -Living spaces furnished and decorated. -A conference room created for education and studying. -A recreation/ community room furnished and decorated. -1 utility room ready to do laundry. -A garage set up for inside and outside projects. This is going to be a great project and a meaningful need to be met!Submitted by: FISH | Prior Lake | No | N/A | Active

Help Now | Car Help for Young hard working manThe young man who needs help with his car is truly a story of how hard work turns in to success. He overcame homelessness and a crippling heroin addiction and has worked his way up in his job to manager. He was able to purchase his first car in December, but unfortunately, it is an older vehicle and the source he bought it from "jimmy rigged" it to keep it running and wasn't honest about it. He was hit with a huge car bill of $1000 which could be a major set back for this guy. Any little bit helps.Submitted by: FISH | All Locations | No | 04/30/2023 | Active

Help Now | Emotional Support Dog Needs SurgeryMeet Windy! She is a Springer mix with a heart of gold and overflows with love and energy. She and her owner enjoy daily walks, retrieving in the near by wildlife refuge and being together. Both Windy and her owner have been through challenges in their past and have been able to help each other heal from divorce, abandonment, health issues, and high anxiety. Unfortunately a very large growth has appeared on Windy's stomach and threatens their new found friendship and secure life. The vet has estimated the total cost for the tumor removal will be $1600, and her owner would also like to have her spayed for $450 so the possibility of new growths will be lessened. Her owner has been working 2 jobs to make ends meet but due to the increased high cost of living has not been able to save the money quick enough to have the emergency surgery Windy needs. Her surgery is scheduled for the 27th of February.Submitted by: FISH | All Locations | No | 02/27/2023 | Closed - Filled through FISH
