Single Mom of 4 girls facing eviction

A single mother of 4 girls needs help with rent. The girl's father died from heart disease and she has been the sole supporter for some time. She works heavy operating equipment for a company and was recently laid off. This put her behind on the rent this month. With our help and some money she had for the rent, she is still short $500.00. She received a notice of eviction if not paid by the end of the week. Please consider helping this mom who has been working very hard to care for her daughters.

Water Heater

Dear Fish Network, I am writing to you today because I am a case manager who works with a young 18 year old man in Jordan Minnesota. This young man just graduated from high school and is now attending Normdale community college. He was able to get this far due to the support of his mother and his five siblings. This young man’s father is also supportive but just had a stroke a few months back, so is out of work to attend physical and occupational therapy. My client fully relies on his whole family for support which is why he is still living at home and they help care for his needs. They support him because he was born with a very rare condition called Vacteryl Syndrome and Ventricular septal Defect. The family now needs support because there water heater is broken and needs to be to be replaced. They had plumber come out and it just needs to be replaced. In order to replace this 50 gallon water heater itself coast $2,400.00. Then the vent or piping on top is older and can cause carbon monoxide so they are requiring everyone to replace them will be an additional $450. This is a very big cost for this family of 8 to cover. Any finical support you could provide to this would be greatly appreciated! I know this is a big request but there are not a lot of programs that will help cover things like water heaters / venting. Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

Before and After School Care

We have an amazing family at HB that is currently supported by McKinney Vento, a program used to support families that are experiencing homelessness. There are two phenomenal students that are currently attending HB. Parent of the two students has recently gotten a great opportunity and landed a great job. The job requires here to start at 8:00 each day. In order to accommodate the work schedule she needs to drop off her students before school starts and pick them up after the school day ends. We are reaching out to find a partner that could help support the cost of the before and after school cost. Mornings are our greatest priority right now and the cost for that is $1,417. We would love to request am and pm and that cost would be $2,398. Thank you for considering and please call me with any questions. Thank you!!

Shoes for Ankle Braces

There is a 2 year old boy in the community who uses orthotic braces to help him walk with improved alignment. He is in need of this specific type of shoe to fit over his orthotics and support his feet and ankles optimally. These are more expensive than the family is comfortable paying for shoes at this time and the family has not had any luck finding an appropriate pair second hand. Details of the shoes are listed below. If someone in the community is willing to purchase the shoes for $39.99 +$5 shipping, they could be shipped to Pearson Early Learning Center in Shakopee. Thank you for considering helping this awesome kid and his family! Car Troubles

A young, homeless mom with a 4 year old daughter (couch surfing) had a '99 maxima and the clutched went out about a month ago. She is currently on assistance for daycare for her daughter but hasn't been able to drive her there in 20 days and is now at risk to losing that stability for her daughter. Her daughter gets breakfast, lunch and a light dinner everyday at daycare, which she might not otherwise be getting consistently at home. She has a job lined up and waiting for her once her car is fixed, but currently doesn't have any income since she can't drive and has had her daughter at home everyday.
