Help Now | Loss of sentimental itemsI am working with a family who just secured permanent housing after years of being unhoused due to economic hardship during COVID. This is a huge accomplishment for this single mom. They have had items in storage for this time and are at risk of losing their belongings and many of the household goods they can now use in their new apartment.Submitted by: ISD 191 Burnsville-Eagan-Savage | Shakopee | No | N/A | Closed - Not Filled
Help Now | Daycare support for single parent to keep jobA single mom of 2 school age children needs to be at work before school starts. We have secured a discounted rate at our before school program of $13 a day for both students to attend. Any amount of funds towards this cost will support Mom in being able to maintain employment. This child care before school cost, although reduced, is still a significant financial hardship. Mom has a steady job; however the hours are not flexible. Mom will lose her employment if she is not there at the designated time. Support with the cost of the morning childcare will ensure she can continue working to provide the family income. All support will make a difference in Mom's ability to remain employed. $13 per day for a 5 day school week is $65.00. $13 per day for a month of before school child care is $260.00. There are 6 months left of the school year that financial support will be needed - $1,560 will cover the cost for the school year. Donated funds will go directly to the before school program.Submitted by: ISD 191 Burnsville-Eagan-Savage | Savage | No | N/A | Closed - Not Filled
Help Now | Before and After School CareWe have an amazing family at HB that is currently supported by McKinney Vento, a program used to support families that are experiencing homelessness. There are two phenomenal students that are currently attending HB. Parent of the two students has recently gotten a great opportunity and landed a great job. The job requires here to start at 8:00 each day. In order to accommodate the work schedule she needs to drop off her students before school starts and pick them up after the school day ends. We are reaching out to find a partner that could help support the cost of the before and after school cost. Mornings are our greatest priority right now and the cost for that is $1,417. We would love to request am and pm and that cost would be $2,398. Thank you for considering and please call me with any questions. Thank you!!Submitted by: ISD 191 Burnsville-Eagan-Savage | Savage | No | 12/03/2022 | ActiveOffers

Help Now | Snowpants and Winter bootsOur elementary school, Hidden Valley Elementary in Savage is seeing a great need for snowpants and winter boots for some of our students. Our families are hard working and despite this 75% of our families still live underneath the poverty line. This makes accessing additional clothing items like snowpants and boots an added expense that does not fit in many budgets, especially with inflation right now. Students who do not have snowpants and boots are unable to access snow play and our playground (for risk of getting all wet, uncomfortable, sick, etc.). We are in need of small sizes: small 5- 10/12 at this time Boot sizes child 13- Youth 6Submitted by: ISD 191 Burnsville-Eagan-Savage | Savage | No | N/A | Closed - Filled through others |
