| Help Now | Vehicle Help for a Hard Working Mom of 3We are currently trying to help a single mom of three girls who works full-time and is doing everything she can to care for and provide for her family. She previously participated in a partner in our network’s program and continues to do well as she builds stability for herself and her daughters. While she is managing her day-to-day expenses, she has not been able to save the extra funds needed for major vehicle repairs. Her vehicle is now in need of new brakes and new tires, and in its current condition it is unsafe for her and her children, especially with winter driving conditions. Reliable transportation is essential for her ability to get to work and safely transport her girls. We are hoping to have this addressed within the next week or so to ensure the safety of this family. We are estimating the cost for the fix would be around $1,200Submitted by: FISH | Shakopee | No | 01/31/2026 | ActiveOffers | |

| Help Now | Help Replace a Stolen Therapeutic BicycleI’m asking for help on behalf of a truly hardworking and kind senior who has overcome homelessness through determination and resilience. After years of living in parks and struggling to survive, he worked incredibly hard to rebuild his life. He is now housed and receiving Social Security, though his income is very limited. He carefully pays his rent and lives modestly, doing everything he can to remain stable and independent. A crucial part of his mental health is riding his bicycle. This is not a hobby—it is therapeutic exercise prescribed for his mental well-being. He rides 50–60 miles every day, which helps manage his mental health and allows him to stay functional and independent. Due to physical limitations, he cannot walk long distances, which makes his bike essential. Recently, while out on a ride, he stepped away from his bike for just a few minutes to use a restroom. When he returned, his bike had been stolen. He even saw the thief riding away but was physically unable to chase him. This was not an ordinary bike. Because of the extreme daily mileage and his physical needs, he requires a specialized, durable bike. A standard bicycle would quickly wear down and fail under the strain. Since losing his bike, his mental health has begun to deteriorate. He fears slipping backward after working so hard to move forward, and he is doing everything he can to avoid becoming homeless again. Any donation—no matter the amount—would make a meaningful difference and help restore the therapeutic exercise he desperately needs. Your kindness and support are deeply appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and for any help you are able to give.Submitted by: CAP AGENCY | Dakota County | No | 1771027200 | ActiveOffers | |

| Help Now | Actively engaged client in needI am working with a mother of three children who has faced significant challenges due to her struggles with substance use. Until recently, she had her kids in her care and was receiving financial assistance from the county to help support her family. She managed to use those funds primarily for her rent, ensuring they had a stable home environment. However, due to her ongoing issues, her children are no longer living with her. Determined to turn her life around and reunite with her children, she is actively working on her case plan goals. These goals are designed to help her demonstrate stability and sobriety, which are essential for regaining custody of her kids. A crucial component of her is to maintain her home in a safe and nurturing condition, making it a welcoming place for her children when they can return. Recently, a job was secured, which offers her hope for better financial stability, but she won’t begin until next week. While she has a plan in place to manage her rent for the upcoming month, she is currently facing immediate financial challenges as she lacks the necessary funds to cover her rent for this month. Additionally, she has an outstanding electricity bill that is also due, adding to her worries.Submitted by: Scott County | Shakopee | No | 1767398400 | ActiveOffers | |
| Help Now | A mom of 4 in Shakopee needs help for her kids this Holiday SeasonSituation: in general the economy is not the best and as a single mom of 3 with no government assistance, it is hard to handle groceries, kids needs, bills, and things that come up. I have section 8 which has increased a lot this year and it’s been a struggle for my family. I currently haven’t been lucky enough to get extra hours at work or find an extra job that accommodates my family. I currently have car issues that I haven’t been able to fix because of money shortage. My heater stopped working in my car and I haven't been able to save up enough to get my brakes and tires changed in my car. My biggest down right now is I won’t be able to afford any gifts for my kids due to money shortage. I would appreciate any gifts for my kids or help with my car needs at the moment.Submitted by: FISH | Shakopee | No | N/A | ActiveFulfilledOffers | |
| Help Now | Family in our faith community needs our help! This holiday season, we are hoping to bless a hardworking mom who has been navigating an extremely long and emotionally draining divorce process. The ongoing legal costs have placed a significant financial strain on her, and despite these challenges, she is courageously attending school to earn her first college degree—something that will allow her to provide better opportunities for her family after years of being a stay-at-home mom to her three younger children and their three adult siblings. As she balances school, the stress of the divorce, and single parenting, she is currently unable to work, making this season especially tight. There are no urgent material needs at this time, but an extra touch of joy and support would mean the world to this family during a difficult chapter. If you or your organization would like to sponsor part of their holiday wish list or provide a thoughtful blessing, your kindness will make a meaningful impact.Submitted by: FISH | Shakopee | No | N/A | ActiveOffers | |
| Help Now | Mom and kids need some HOPE this Christmas season!A family is being evicted within the next week and currently does not know where they are going to end up. We were able to get them on some waitlists for housing resources, but mom recently lost her job as well, so some resources I thought we could help connect with are not available and things are extremely stressful for her right now. They had not signed up for any gift programs and the one through the county has passed the deadline. If there’s a way that FISH can support this family with gifts, that would be an amazing spot of joy in this difficult time for them. Thank you for the consideration,Submitted by: FISH | All Locations | No | N/A | ActiveFulfilledOffers | |
| Help Now | Family of Four Experiencing Homelessness After Rental Scam – Hoping for Help Bringing Joy This ChristmasWe are hoping to gather holiday support for a family of four who recently entered the CAPs shelter program and unfortunately missed the deadlines for both the Hope for the Holidays program and the Toy Distribution program. This family includes: Mom Dad Daughters ages 16 and 6 This family became homeless after falling victim to a rental scam that cost them all their savings—an unexpected and devastating blow, especially this time of year. Mom is actively seeking employment as she continues healing from a knee replacement, and Dad has enrolled in culinary school to work toward a stable future for his family. They are doing everything they can to rebuild, but the timing of these hardships means they will be spending Christmas in a hotel, without the resources to create the kind of holiday they hoped for their daughters. Any support—gifts, essentials, or small touches of joy—would mean the world to this family as they navigate this difficult season. If you or your organization are able to help, your kindness will bring hope and comfort when it’s needed most.Submitted by: FISH | Scott County | No | N/A | ActiveOffers |
