Family just moved to area and does not have the funds for extras.

I am working with a family that moved to the Shakopee area within the last month. Mom is working on getting a scholarship to have her daughter (10) attend some of the Shakopee Community Education Summer Camps. Mom reports she was told that the scholarships are one per family and they are hoping to get her daughter in some additional programs this summer. With being new to the area the family is hoping to get the 10 year old involved in the community in a healthy and fun way. We?re looking for donations any size to enroll her in programs from one day camps to week long camps and/or other free-reduced ideas and/or programs in the Shakopee area for 10 year old girls.Cassie Reimers, LSW Scott County Health and Human Services Government Center 300 200 Fourth Ave. W. Update: Mom still needs $300 for this need. Can anyone help with a partial donation. A single mother of a severely disabled 8 1/2 year old daughter, along with a 5 year old autistic daughter is in need of financial assistance with her Excel Energy bill. The 8 1/2 year old was hospitalized from Dec-April resulting in her social security benefit being withheld. Social Security along with child support is this mother's only form of income as she must stay home to provide the 24 hour care that her daughters need. She was able to work with social services to get half of the $800 past-due amount taken care of but is still in need of approximately $400 to get caught up. This little girl is in our prayer chain at St. John and any help for her and her family, whatever the amount, would be much appreciated.
