Car repairs and Behind on Bills

73 year old woman was referred to Coordinated Response by the Savage Police Department because she was driving with a tire completely off the rim of her vehicle. An officer assisted her getting back home. Her vehicle remains inoperable at this time. This is a significant barrier to meeting her daily needs. For example, this created barriers to getting a cashiers check at a bank to pay rent. Prior to this above situation occurring, she had unplanned medical expenses that accumulated and put her behind on other bills. Coordinated Response is a crisis program that partners Human Services with law enforcement. This individual is grateful that the officer referred her to this program so she is able to get assistance with her significant financial stress that impacts her overall mental health and well being.

New or gently used washing machine needed for a family of 6

I am working with a family of 6 that is in desperate need of a washing machine! Their old machine just gave out and as you can imagine, they have a lot of laundry to do! This is a very hard-working family that is trying so hard to make ends meet and their budget is very tight. They aren't able to purchase a different one at this time. They are flexible and open to a gently used machine or a lower cost new one top or front loading. She stated they don't need anything fancy--just functional! They would be so grateful if someone could fill this need! It would be very helpful is someone was able to deliver it.

Cleaning and Organization Need

I am working with a family who is in need of assistance with home organization and cleaning. The family moved from a townhome to a smaller apartment in October and hasn't been able to stay on top of these household tasks. This need is a borderline hoarding situation so ideally we are looking for a small group of people who could assist for a period of time to get the apartment to a point that is manageable. The client is aware that the situation has gotten to a borderline hoarding point and that she is in need of help. The family does have a plan for supports to be able to maintain the home once it is at a management point.

PO Box for Homeless Family

I am currently working with a single dad and his teenage son who are homeless. They do not have a physical address they are able to use to accept mail which has shown to be a struggle with school enrollment as well as obtaining legal documents and just overall mail services. The family has very limited income and would really benefit from assistance with this. The family is looking at a XS PO Box with a six month rental in hopes that they will be able to fund the PO Box after the 6 months is up.
