help moving and household goods

Help to move items from storage unit in Chaska to St Cloud A Shakopee family needed to move out of their apartment the end of November. The family stayed in a hotel while in between apartments, and mom put some of their items in storage in Chaska. The storage unit is paid until the end of January. The mom does not have the resources- financial or a vehicle- to get the items moved from Chaska to their new apartment St Cloud. A small Uhaul truck would be big enough to empty the storage locker. An estimate of the cost would be between $175-200 to rent a Uhaul and get her items to their new apartment. In addition, family is in need of kitchen items for the new apartment- plates, bowls, utensils, pots and pans

Native elder facing homelessness

Hi everyone with the thanksgiving break happening soon I wanted to reach out to get some help. We have a native elderly woman who is being kicked out of her relative's home and she will be homeless in a short week. She has tried desperately to find housing but has been turned down many times already due to low credit score and the inability to match the income guidelines. She is hoping to get a hotel stay for a week to figure things out. She is getting kicked on on November 30th so I am hoping we can figure something out for her. This is a big ask and any help big or small is appreciated!

Veteran in Need of Assistance

Update: I am working with a 33-year-old veteran who is a responsible person that doesn't do drugs or drink. He was recently unemployed but now has a job opportunity that he is hoping will start before Christmas. He will just need some assistance to get him through the two weeks or so before he receives his first paycheck. He would be grateful for whatever assistance that could be provided--including Uber gift cards to help get back and forth to work (he doesn't currently have a vehicle). Any of the following would help cover short-term needs related to rent, food, and transportation expenses: $100 for Uber gift cards $200 for grocery gift cards $300 to help pay rent Thank you in advance for any help that can be provided.

Birthday gift card

I am working with a single mother of three kiddos who is working very hard to engage in services to help stabilize her own and her children's mental health. Her daughter has her birthday coming up and the family would like to go bowling. The family lives in Shakopee and would be open to a gift card to any bowling alley near that they could uber to as they do not have transportation.

Past due hotel bill while awaiting housing

A family I am working with has been staying in a hotel for the last two months while awaiting approval for a townhome rental in Shakopee - while the family just received notice that they are potentially able to move in this Saturday (11/1), they have fallen behind on their hotel bill, and are now facing eviction from said hotel. The past due balance is $1031.07.
