Veteran family of 5, needs tires and car repairs

As an Assistant County Veteran Service Officer, I'm reaching out on behalf of a deserving veteran family who urgently needs our community's support. This family of five is facing significant transportation challenges that are directly impacting their ability to access essential services, medical appointments, and daily necessities. The veteran's fiancée and youngest child both have disabilities, making reliable transportation not just a convenience, but a critical lifeline for their family's wellbeing and safety. Their vehicle requires immediate repairs to remain roadworthy and safe for transporting their disabled family members. The car desperately needs two new tires for safe driving conditions, brake repairs that are essential for family safety, air conditioning repair (which is crucial for the disabled family members during hot weather), and a trunk latch repair that affects the vehicle's security and functionality. Without these repairs, this veteran family risks being stranded without transportation to medical appointments, grocery stores, and other essential services that many of us take for granted. **Estimated Line Item Costs:** - Two new tires: $200-400 (depending on tire quality and vehicle size) - Brake repair/replacement: $300-600 (including pads, rotors if needed, and labor) - AC system repair: $150-500 (depending on whether it needs refrigerant, compressor work, or other components) - Trunk latch repair: $50-150 (parts and labor) - **Total estimated cost: $700-1,650**

Small help for moving

A young working family of five has just secured home ownership. The family has experienced unexpected hardships in the last couple weeks including mental health concerns, expensive car repairs and health appointments that need increased doctor appointments. The home they have secured is a really happy time for their family. They plan to move on their own with the vehicle they have. Gas cards to go back and forth from their rental unit to their new home would be very helpful.

Elderly Man Scammed Out of Life Savings

Rent assistance is needed at this time for a man in his 70s, who recently fell prey to a known scam in the area. He was contacted by "Shania Twain", and he was manipulated into buying cryptocurrency to fund her needs. Police investigated, and the money has been located in Nigeria. There is no recourse to get this money back, and he is behind on his rent after cashing his life savings for the scam. Positive news: his landlord is working with him to create a small payment plan while he goes back to work for the first time in many years. Since his account was hacked, his social security is a few months behind as well. $2000 is needed to help get his rent ledger up to date and be out of a housing crisis. He is working 40 hours per week in the community to pay his other bills and attempt to gain some savings for future medical expenses related to his cancer treatment no longer being paid for by medicare.

Single father of 5 with barriers

This family has been struggling with many barriers. He recently received full custody of 5 kids with no child support. He had been struggling with car problems while trying to acclimate to the kids schedule which makes it extremely difficult to keep up with work + getting into a new schedule. He's had to quit his job because of car troubles and needs help getting back on track. Recently his car has stopped working and would really appreciate it if there could be financial help to get his car towed to the shop as the first step. Getting the car fixed will help him get back on his feet to stability, getting a job, getting his kids around to school and medical related appointments and the ability to go the store for basic necessities.
