Her debit card was stolen and used without her permission. The card was canceled but all her bills (rent, phone service, etc.) get paid off of this card, which is also how she receives her social security benefits - her only source of income. She needs access to a phone to communicate with the Social Security Office, Metro Mobility and family who are trying to assist her in re-instating her social security benefits. A basic phone (not a "smart" phone) and some minutes would greatly assist her in getting her affairs arranged after this crime. The neighbor was allowed by the court to return to his residence but due to fears for their safety and the ongoing issues with this neighbor, the family began searching for a new place to live. They have paid $1500 for application fees and pro-rated rate for November.
