FISH is partnering with local non-profits who help those newly out of homelessness or incarceration by putting together a list of things the individual may need for those first few weeks in a new home. These items may be personal care items, snacks, new pillows and blankets, socks, and gift cards to help the first few weeks. We made it easy to help fill these needs by compiling a wish list on Amazon that will get directly shipped to the new resident’s address.

This week, a 19 year old who has been living in a tent behind Cub Foods in Shakopee for the last 5 months, transitioned to the Allos Ministry home in Shakopee. This young man got a job this week, and is working with mentors to help guide him in the right direction to build a solid foundation in hopes he will never have to experience homelessness again.
