First Need: “I am working with a seventeen year old. While she is behind in school, she is entering into a credit recovery program and has high hopes of graduating. She also works four days a week and takes the bus or her mom sometimes can drive her to and from work. She is in need of a little extra help right now and is hoping for a gift card to get some new school supplies, a gas card and bus card.” This need is for $75. Second Need: “A family has reached out to get some help paying for utilities. Mom is needing $265.97 to catch up. Single mom of 4, who just gave birth in April. She didn’t receive any benefits while being out of work. She is working 2 jobs to make ends meet. She had some unexpected bills causing her to fall behind on her utility bill.” this need is for $265.97. Third Need: “I have been working with a hardworking single mom who reached out needing some assistance with purchasing school clothes for 15 year old son. She is willing to take donations or gift cards to Walmart, Target, Khols. Her son wears a size 9.5/10 in shoes and XL pants and Large shirts. Her son will not wear jeans or anything that buttons or zips. Any help will be greatly appreciated.” This need is for $300. Fourth Need: “I am working with a family who would like to get a family membership to the Shakopee Community Center to help support spending more time together as a family and support sobriety. the family has found being active together helps supports and maintains everyone’s chemical health and mental health. Due to circumstances, the family is not able to currently financially support a membership on their own. This need is for $600.
