Happy Friday! Here are some lingering needs we had come through this week:

I am currently working with a teenager who was removed from his parents home before he was 18 and is now on his own. He is working part time and going to college full time. He has worked hard to purchase his own vehicle, and now his truck is acting up. He is in need of $150-250 for Ford to diangonis the truck and then will try to fix the truck himself after knowing the problem.

Mom’s car broke down and she is contacting local mechanics to see if she can get it fixed and is being told she can’t get it in for a week. She is unable to get to work and bring her child to school. Child is not on a bus route for their school. She needs help in paying for an Uber or other functional transportation to send a child to school while getting her car fixed.

Generally car is working and mom is able to get these needs met. But with car not working and mom not able to go to work, she is now financially going to lose some money during this time too.

I am working with a mom who is currently in treatment and has been finding ways to transport her daughter to and from treatment for visits. This mom’s treatment facility has been wonderfully helpful in providing extra rides to accommodate this need; however, this is not sustainable. As the mom continues to work toward her daughter fully returning to her care, she has shared that any Uber or Lyft giftcards would be incredibly helpful so that she can have more options to transport her daughter.

Thanks in advance!
