Our state district 20 Senator Rich Draheim is the chair of the Senate Housing Policy & Finance Committee. Beacon has secured a half hour meeting with him next Wednesday, March 17 from 9:30-10:00 am to encourage his support for affordable housing. This meeting is important because he is the one person we need during this legislative session to get a hearing for Beacons’ bill Bring It Home, Minnesota. It is also important for us to be in relationship with him as we continue to build our case with constituents and legislators over the next few years.

The opening of our new women’s center, Freedom Manor, is just around the corner. We have created a two-day event to offer the opportunity to come visit us at this beautiful new facility and learn more about what Freedom Manor will offer the women of Mn Adult and Teen Challenge.
