This January has already become one of the busiest we’ve seen, with more neighbors reaching out for help than ever before. From young adults starting over to parents doing everything they can to care for their kids, the needs coming through remind us just how important our community support truly is. Here are a few urgent requests we’re hoping to meet this week:
✨ $200 Grocery Gift Card – Young Adult Starting Over
A 19-year-old recently exiting homelessness is learning how to live independently after growing up without stable guidance or support. Right now, he’s been surviving on eggs and ramen and has completely run out of food while waiting for benefits to begin. A grocery gift card would help him access real, nourishing meals as he heals and builds life skills.

✨ $50 Gift Card or Essentials – Mom & Child with Special Needs
A hardworking mom is looking for help with everyday essentials like children’s toothpaste, Ziploc bags, and specific snacks and foods her child can tolerate due to sensory and dietary needs. Items or a small gift card can be coordinated directly with the child’s school for easy drop-off.

✨ $400 by Jan 31 – Young Father & Guardian
A young single father, who is also the guardian of his teenage brother, needs assistance securing their lease by January 31. This support will help keep stable housing in place for both of them.

✨ $500 for Home Essentials – Neighbor with a Disability
An individual living with a disability is hoping to make her home more comfortable and functional. She’s seeking a small loveseat or couch, a recliner/cozy chair, and basic pots and pans. A gift card would allow her to purchase these items from Walmart or Amazon.
