$150.00 to rent a U-Haul so single mom and her developmentally delayed son can move out of apartment they can’t afford due to son’s unpredictable medical and behavioral issues causing the mom to lose work and therefor lose hours at work and income. He struggles at school and often the mom has to pick him up early and cannot work as much as she would like to earn more money. She has help with family members offering their assistance in actually moving the items and belongings but cannot afford the U-Haul rental fee of $150.00. She needs to move by the end of April. The actual move is scheduled April 30th, so a rental would need to be arranged by April 29th. Any offer of any amount is greatly appreciated. She has asked her social worker but since the son is a minor, funding is not authorized to be used for this purpose. No program has a remedy for this problem since she wants to move before she is being evicted due to her inability to afford the rent any longer.
