Dear Together WE CAN Community,

I am excited to invite you, your families, and your neighbors to visit the Family Resource Centers of Scott County (FRCs) as they open their doors next week, beginning August 2, in support of our community. Below is some additional information about FRCs, and a list of our FRC locations and hours of operation. Attached are some FRC flyers for your use and distribution. (Thank you for helping us spread the word!)

ABOUT FRCs:
Family Resource Centers of Scott County are a one-stop-shop for connection to services, resources, information, and support across our community.

These hubs provide welcoming spaces for children and families to “do life together”, learning, growing, and strengthening our families and communities.

Family Resource Center Services Include:

  • Parenting skills, support, and mentorship programs
  • Early literacy and education programs
  • Health and wellness services and programs
  • Financial literacy classes (budgeting and management)
  • Economic Assistance navigation
  • Housing consultation
  • Legal information
  • Domestic Violence education and advocacy
  • Culturally specific service navigation and language access for Latinx and Somali communities

FRC LOCATIONS AND HOURS:

Shakopee Library – Mondays from 3-7pm

(235 Lewis Street S, Shakopee)

 Jordan Area Food Shelf -Wednesdays from 4-7pm

(312 Water Street, Jordan)

YMCA @River Valley – Thursdays from 2-6pm

(3573 N Berens Road NW, Prior Lake)
