  Hometown Heroes Needed!

SmartLink is excited to introduce a NEW service for Scott County!

The SmartLink Mobility Management team recognized the need for additional transportation options in our more rural communities.  After applying for and receiving a “Live Well at Home” grant, the decision was made to invest in community mini vans to support the idea of helping aging adults stay in their homes longer.  Often transportation is a barrier for older adults who can no longer drive or may no longer be comfortable driving.  Accessing medical appointments, essential groceries/goods, social gatherings and other appointments is needed for seniors to stay active, healthy and engaged.

We are seeking volunteer drivers in our smaller towns in Scott County, such as Belle Plaine, Jordan, New Prague, & Elko/New Market who are willing donate their time by driving others.  The goal is to improve quality of life for our older residents by helping them maintain their independence longer.

If you like driving, meeting new people, & helping others in your hometown community, then Hop Scott needs you!   Let’s talk!
