Good morning everyone!  As we are all working together do our part in keeping our community safe and healthy, FISH would like to be able to keep our network updated on services being offered and if you have needs that can be met to help facilitate your outreach.  We will be sending a daily update to our network in hopes this aids in communication and meeting needs.  Please let us know what services you are offering and the help you are needing.

Please email us at: fish@fishpartnernetwork.org

We hope you are doing well, as we are finding innovative ways to get food to the community with staying safe as a priority. We listened to the needs of our community, our partners and participants not only to provide them with culturally connected foods but also help meet the need, no one should go hungry. We also will be extending the distribution until June 13th. Every community is experiencing effects of this virus differently. II wanted to share with you the link for volunteering for this weekend’s distribution, please let me know if you have any questions. https://ncshakopee.360unite.com/volunteer

Dear Together WE CAN Community,

It has been inspiring and humbling to see the ways our community has come together to support one another during this global pandemic. Thank you parents, caregivers, family and friend networks, emergency responders and front-line workers, essential service workers and providers, nonprofit community, business community, faith communities- we appreciate all you do. It is abundantly evident that we are in this together.

This e-source focuses on what we know works in preventing child abuse and neglect: the Strengthening Families Approach. It is based on engaging families, programs, and communities in building five key protective factors. Below are some tips, tools, and resources you can use to build these protective factors in your home and community.

If you like to garden, we need your help.  We have a Community Garden in the Shakopee area that will help to provide food to the food shelves and community.  We need gardening help to set up and help to maintain through the summer months. Hours to volunteer are flexible.  If you are interested, please let me know ASAP and I will get you more details.  Thank you!

Transit Link is asking for face masks for Dial a Ride clients to protect the drivers on the vehicles. Based on the number trips assisted with a month, they will need approximately 600 or so. These masks can be handmade or purchased. They will find a way to distribute them and also track who received them in an effort to collect data for reference. Anything you could do would be greatly appreciated.

If you would like to donate please contact Bethany: btjornhom@fishpartnernetwork.org

Update:  Thank you Kristy Limberg, for making 100 masks!!
