What is needed:
This is a foster family who has taken guardianship of the children they have been caring for, for years. They are responsible, caring, and put the kids first always. Recently due to the move out of another family member, they have fallen behind on rent and have some outstanding debt that is keeping them from catching up. They have never had difficulty paying for their rent or fallen behind in the past. They have sought out resources for rent help through: CAP, 360 communities, Rent Help MN and have been denied by all and been told that some agencies are having trouble with funding. Opportunities for assistance: -Rent help directly to landlord ($1500) -Assistance paying debt on a loan that was for a car repair ($1461) -Assistance paying internet ($90)

UPDATE: STILL NEEDED – My client is a homeless gentlemen who is down on his luck. His mental illness has prevented him from working and keeping stable housing. He has many serious medical needs as well which inhibit his ability to function day to day. His only method of transportation is his vehicle which is in dire need of a tune up/repair. Anything helps!

What is needed:
I am looking for a working bicycle for an adult who would be able to use the bike to get to and from work. The individual lives in a group home and does not have access to transportation whenever he needs it. The bike would allow him to be more flexible in his hours or work, as well as where his work is located.

the individual has had a hard time finding employment, due to the lack of transportation options and money to get to and from work.

What is needed:
UPDATE: STILL NEEDED – I am working with a Prior Lake youth at Passageways who has successfully transitioned out of trafficking and is getting a fresh start with their life. They are finishing up their esthetician courses and plan on continuing to become an RN. They are also working at a part time job. They currently have a mini-van that is worth $0 and is inoperable due to the brakes not working and needing new rotors. There are multiple other repairs needed, but they are not as much of an emergency at this time. This youth does not have the finances to pay for these repairs. She has a loan of $16,000 she is paying on for school and all the money she makes goes to her schooling. We would really appreciate if anyone has a car they are willing to donate. The van is going to continue to cost more money than it is worth and this young person is working hard towards finding their own housing. Lastly, they will be aging out of our program soon and I would really like to see her with a safe form of transportation as she continues to work towards her goals. Thank you!

What is needed:
I am working with a woman in Jordan who is need of tires for her vehicle as well as assistance in meeting some of her monthly bills (car insurance, phone bill, food, medication etc.). She is in the process of applying for SSDI and if granted, that will stabilize her income. She is a caretaker to her parents who both have medical conditions as well as the mother of two young adults who currently live with her and have their own medical challenges. She currently works as a Lyft driver when she is well enough to do so and is the only available driver in her family. This woman has been challenged for the past few years and this assistance would greatly reduce her burden to drive worry free with new tires as well as relieve stress from trying to get Lyft rides to meet the next day’s expenses. She is working hard to be connected to help in the community as well as working with a financial counselor to plan more than a day ahead for expenses and take care of other financial issues.

What Created the need:
This woman was attacked from a Lyft rider in the past year and deals with short term memory loss as well as other medical issues. She has accepted that disability assistance is needed even though she wants to work and give back to others. She supports four additional family members in daily living activities. If she is approved for disability, the income stability will eliminate the need for future help. She is also working to get her family members connected to services so she is not responsible for their needs and can become a support person instead of the main person.
