February 23rd Theme: Mental & Emotional Wellness

Dear Scott County Community Members,

Together WE CAN is excited to partner with the Forgotten Initiative to host monthly Community Circle conversations in Scott County!

What Are Circles?

Scott County Community Circles provide a monthly space and opportunity to connect with others in our community; to learn from and support one another through the ups and downs in our lives. Using the sacred Indigenous communication practice of Restorative Circles, community members will be able to connect with one another on a personal level in a comfortable and supporting setting. Circles will be led by trained Circle Keepers and conversations will focus on themes related to community, family and building personal resilience.

Who Should Attend?

Community Circles are open to individuals, parents, families and organizations across Scott County, as well as our cross-county partners who support children and families in our community. These events will also include live interpretation in Spanish and Somali.
