I’m reaching out on the behalf of a devoted single mother who’s facing a difficult chapter. After the unexpected loss of her second source of income, she’s struggling to keep up with essential bills while continuing to care for her three children. Despite the financial strain, she remains a hands-on parent; juggling work, a child’s therapy, and daily life with the determination to provide for her children. Your donations can help keep the lights on and help her continue to get to and from work. It will also provide breathing room during this tough time; helping to cover basic needs and restore a bit of stability as she works toward getting back on her feet. A mother and her son are needing a 1-night respite/ hotel stay. They are currently in a verbally abusive relationship and making plans to exit the relationship. They plan to move out of state and are currently awaiting approval by a landlord for an apartment. Once this is approved, they will leave immediately and need 2 one-way tickets to North Carolina.

What Created the need:
A client of mine is currently staying in an Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) facility after had a mental health crisis. Although she owns and drives a car, she decided not to drive for a while to maintain her safety. Client told me that she needs a way to go to places to see her family and attend Community Support Program, which cannot be covered by medical ride. Client does not have any money for transportation right now as she is taking some time off from work to recover while staying in IRTS facility. I appreciate it if you can donate a Metro Transit Go-To Card with some money loaded so that my client can stay connected with her family and the community. Thank you for considering it.
