I am working with a single mom of two boys who has lost her job due to medical leave and has been making ends meet for the last six months. The mother recently was cleared to return to work, has obtained a job and is currently waiting for a start date after completing required steps for employment. The family’s utilities will be shut off as of 06/03/2024 at 4:30pm and has an outstanding bill of $402.43 (checks payable to Shakopee Public Works) that needs to be paid in full to keep their utilities on. The family has attempted to access energy assistance; however time is out. The family is also in need of food and gas cards.
