Happy Monday everyone! Just wanted to thank everyone who attended and spoke at our 2nd Thursday meeting last week. We heard about how Scott County is working with faith organizations like Allos Ministries, His House, Heart and so many more to help end homelessness in Scott County. Also, a special thanks to Shepherd of the Lake Church for hosting the meeting. To piggy back on that topic, we received this need today:
After living in a hotel for 3 years my client finally got approved for housing! She will be moving into her own town home! We are beyond happy an excited for her. All this time waiting she didn’t think it would truly happen. She thought she would have a couple more months to get funds together. She has a pro rated amount for march of $640.50, $500 deposit & April 1st rent is $1146. She understands this is a lot to ask for but anything will help during this transition. Thank you!
What a great opportunity to help this lady get out of homelessness and have stable housing for the first time in 3 years!
