Good afternoon everyone!  As we are all working together do our part in keeping our community safe and healthy, FISH would like to be able to keep our network updated on services being offered and if you have needs that can be met to help facilitate your outreach.  We will be sending a daily update to our network in hopes this aids in communication and meeting needs.  Please let us know what services you are offering and the help you are needing.

Please email us at: fish@fishpartnernetwork.org

Due to COVID19, we are unable to hold our annual dinner event at Next Chapter Winery in New Prague so we hope you can join us for our virtual event. We will share updates, awesome music from singer, songwriter Josh Cleveland, some local student and volunteer testimonies, a special message from Scott County and a glimpse of our TreeHouse support groups in New Prague and our new location in Prior Lake-Savage.  We are excited to share and hope you will join us on Thursday, June 18th at 7 pm.  All proceeds from this event will be used to help support our teens at both locations. Together we can end hopelessness among our teens. Thank you.

Click on the link below to register.  It’s free!  After you register, you will be sent the link to the event.  We are also having a online auction, to view items and participate, please go to www.32auctions.com/WellTreeHouse2020.

Dear Together WE CAN Community,

Together WE Can understands that caring for our children, ourselves, our families, our neighbors, and our communities amidst two public health crisis, racism and COVID-19, can feel overwhelming. We cannot face these converging crisis alone.

Dr. Alvin Thomas, a clinical psychologist at the University of WI (Madison), rightly notes, “You’re living through two pandemics, especially if you’re black. However, if you start to feel like you just can’t cope anymore or that this is becoming too much for you, then I would urge people to not suffer in silence.”   “…to not suffer in silence.”

This e-source focuses on what we know works in preventing child abuse and neglect: the Strengthening Families Approach. It is based on engaging families, programs, and communities in building five key protective factors.   Together WE CAN_Community Connections_Issue 6.16.2020
