Urgent need for medical transportation funds
A medical stretcher transport from Shakopee to Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park. As this senior woman has stated, "I am respectfully reaching out to request any assistance that may be available to help cover the cost of a round-trip stretcher transportation from my residence in Shakopee to Methodist Hospital in St. Loust Park. I am currently recovering from a broken left femur and have been placed on non-weight-bearing status for up to six months. Due to my condition, I am unable to use stairs and require3 stretcher transport. At this time, I do not have active medical insurance (she is $100.00 over the limit for Medical Assistance/aka Medicaid) and my Medicare coverage will not take effect until January 1, 2026. The Estimated cost for a round-trip stretcher transportation ranges from $720.00 to over $1,000. My medical appointment is scheduled for December 24th, at 10:45 a.m. (date subject to change due to the holiday. I have searched and the most affordable option is Quality Stretchers, LLC. Any assistance or guidance you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated during this difficult time. Thank you for your time and consideration. She is bed-ridden and has to be cared for 24 hours a day by him. The RVHS has contributed $100.00 towards this need but cannot go over that limit. The nurse that saw the patient says that this is urgent and cannot wait. Due to the complication of her break, she must be seen by the doctor at Methodist Hospital. Any contribution is not too small. If several donors are able to pitch in, she can gather the necessary funds to enable her to be seen by the specialist. The cost is so high due to the necessity of having multiple staff carry her on a stretcher, so she doesn't put any weight on the broken leg.$0.00 of $620.00

She is a patient at the River Valley Health Services in Shakopee, a program of the CAP Agency. She doesn't qualify for Medical Assistance with her meager income only $100.00 over the income threshold. She does not qualify for Medicare until January 1, 2026.
