What caused this need?

This single female relocated to Belle Plaine where she had 1 friend and to escape a high crime neighborhood in St Paul. Shortly after moving to Belle Plaine she had car issues. An acquaintance of her friend said he could fix the car if she provided the parts and told her it needed ball joints and brake pads. She depleted her savings of $310 to buy the parts. The acquaintance did not do the repairs correctly and/or took some of the parts. A police report was filed and they suggested civil suit. This female only has income from Social Security disability and is now left without a working vehicle. She is in need of a car tow, professional repair consultation and subsequent repairs.
