What caused this need?
This is a family of 7 (mom, dad and 4 children), 3 of which have some level of special needs from developmental disability to social/emotional disabilities. Dad was out of work for 3 months for which he received short term disability and is back to work as of today. He had surgery for benign tumors inside the bones of his feet and were replaced with cadaver bones. One foot has extensive plates and screws. Due to this, they have gotten behind on household bills and do not have money for school supplies.
