What caused this need?
This individual was diagnosed with MS last May. Since that time, he has been out of work and has $0 income. He is currently waiting for disability to kick in, but this takes 12 months. He is leaning on his church and the food shelf to help him get through this tough time in his life. He has gained 30 lbs and his doctor is telling him to exercise. The YMCA would give him the opportunity to get the exercise he needs and also to connect with others in a group setting. He has really missed this from not being able to work.
