The water heater broke and the family does not have enough funds to pay for aont

A family that I work with shared with me that their water heater broke months ago. They have 3 children, two of which have a disability. A professional came out to inspect the water heater this winter, but the family reports that he was in a hurry and they don't know if he was truthful about the problem. The family has been boiling water on the stove to fill the bathtub or wash dishes. They have a relative that is near by so they have been going there to shower, wash dishes, and do laundry as much as possible. The family would like another professional to come out and look at their water heater to diagnose the exact problem. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you!
