What caused this need?

The Shakopee Police Department continues to partner with organizations and individuals to respond to graffiti, which can cause concerns about safety, drug use and livability. The department has invested numerous people hours and financial resources to respond to this ongoing issue including actively recruiting volunteers and providing paint and anti-graffiti clear coat product to complete the Holmes Street tunnel mural.
