I am working with a single parent with a 6 year old child who has Autism and is also is developmentally delayed. She is a full time student and is on limited income; receiving child support and Social Security. She recently needed a significant car repair having the brakes and rotors replaced. That has left her with very little disposable income for the rest of the month. The medical community that provides services to her son is recommending that he go on a gluten free diet. She has started the process but has found that the food is significantly more expensive and is not readily available at food shelves. She is looking for any food cards such as Cub or Wal-Mart so she can get the items needed. In addition, she also could use a gas card because of her funds being depleted because of the car repair.
