Single Mother with Medically Complex Children Struggling to Make Ends Meet
I am working with a single mother of 4 children. One of her children was recently diagnosed with autism. This diagnosis has allowed him to finally receive appropriate services for his needs. Another one of her children is currently on the path to being diagnosed with Dystonia( a neurological movement disorder characterized by involuntary (unintended) muscle contractions that cause slow repetitive movements or abnormal postures that can sometimes be painful). One of her daughters is still undiagnosed however, has been in and out of the hospital the past month in an effort to stabilize her blood sugar. She is having trouble keeping food down and is on a strict medication plan. They have a lot of upcoming appointments with neurologists that will hopefully give them answers. This has caused Mom to miss and leave work a lot over the past few weeks. They still don't have answers as to why this is happening, but she has gone downhill very suddenly and mom has barely had time to catch her breath. She is looking for help with her upcoming rent of $2,500 for July. Anything helps take the burden off of worrying about having a roof over their head while she cares for her family. Thank you.$100.00 of $2500.00
