What caused this need?

Single mom with two young kids is fleeing domestic violence. She has been accepted to her own apartment in Shakopee and will be moving in this week. She is very excited to start her life over and provide a safe home for her children. She works overnights, but doesn't make enough to front all of the costs of a new apartment on her own.
