I am working with a homeless mom in Shakopee with a newborn (3 week old) and 15 month old. She has found a room to rent for her and the kids starting September 1st. She is in need of $500 for the damage deposit and $500 for her 1st months rent in order to secure the housing. ($1000 total ) and will have the income to support the rent after that. $1000 will keep her and her babies stabily housed until October and give her the time she needs to get back on her feet. What caused this need?
Single mom with 2 babies (3 weeks and 15 months) is currently homeless and working toward finding stable housing. She has no support from her family or the father of her children and is doing everything she can to keep her kids safe. CAP will cover the cost of a hotel until September 1st at which point she can move into a room she found to rent for $500 a month. She is doing everything she can to take care of her children. This mom really needs some support to get back on her feet. She has a 4 yr degree in IT and is very employable and responsible. I have no doubt that with this support she will be able to move her family forward and keep them stably housed. In addition to her housing struggles, her 15 month old has strep throat and now the newborn is showing signs of a cold as well.
