What caused this need?
One parent is in recovery for mental health and substance use challenges, which led to past loss of employment, inconsistent work, and overdraft fees related to bounced payments for that work. The parent has been very dedicated in the last year with treatment and therapy and is nearly a year sober. The family is grateful for the help to bridge their rent payment for this month as the parent secures new employment and a second income for the family.
