What caused this need?

My client was recently forced to leave her apartment. On the day that she left (7/31/15), those who had offered to help move her items had not shown up and she was forced to move with only a few items. Upon trying to return to her old apartment to get her things today, she was informed that everything has already been sent to the dumpster and that there is nothing left for her to pick up. My client now no longer has any furniture, clothes or food besides what she could hold when leaving. She is currently homeless and would not benefit from furniture donations at this time, but could use gift cards to replenish her clothing and food, any amounts would be appreciated.
