What caused this need?
Amber, her daughter, and their dog have been homeless for a while and are currently staying at a hotel and paying weekly. She has worked hard on her own and has been approved for housing assistance and has located a new apartment. However, due to the length of homelessness and the cost she’s been paying as well as her need for security deposit she is in need of assistance. So that on 10/01 when they move into their new place, they have means to cook and her daughter to sleep. She expressed to me other needs she will have as well but the needs on the target registry is what she really felt was very important. Once the cost of hotels and startup costs for their home she should be in good shape moving forward!
