What caused this need?

Loving mother of two babies now single parenting due to spousal abuse. This mother is low-income, socially isolated, and recently quit her job to care for her babies now that their father has been police-escorted out of the home. Mother has applied for MFIP/DWP and hopes to be back to work as soon as she can secure child care assistance.
