What caused this need?

I am working with a single mom who is actively seeking resources to help address her mental health. However, she lives in a small apartment with a lot of belongings that take up much of the space. The mother is willing to get rid and sort through her belongings to create a more livable space for her and her two children, but needs some support in doing this. She would also like a new couch for her home, as her old one is used and deteriorated.
