What caused this need?
I am working with a family of 5 who has been struggling to pay monthly bills and are behind at least 2 months on most bills. Over the last year, their microwave and oven have broken and not been able to be replaced. The mother cooks meals on the stove top or in the crockpot for the family. She recently lost her job and her husband works about 30-45 minutes from home, therefore most of the money they have left over after what they can try to keep up on bills goes towards gas to get to and from work. They have utilized the local food shelf but found it difficult to have enough food in the house for the children to have meals and snacks. Any assistance would be much appreciated!
