What caused this need?
I am working with a family of 5 in Prior Lake. Mom works 2 jobs and will be able to go back to work following her maternity leave. The family had budgeted for the mom?s maternity leave but had unexpected car problems. In order to make the car drivable they need $200 to fix the wheel bearing. The car also needs the control arm fixed but family plans to cover that once they have enough money in their budget. It is important for this family to have this vehicle so dad can get to work and mom can get to her therapy appointments. Mom has a history of postpartum depression. In addition the family is using daycare 2 days a week while mom is on maternity leave. Family qualifies for daycare assistance but not when mom is on maternity leave. It is important that this mom is addressing her mental health and has a respite time with the kids being cared for in a safe environment. Any amount of money to assist with childcare for the 2 older children while mom is on maternity leave would be greatly appreciated.
