What caused this need?

I am working with a family including a single mom, 3 teenage children and 1 small child. Mom works full time at manual labor and the teenagers all work at least part time. This family works as a team and has done very well with providing for all their basic needs. They make sure to pay all of their bills along with food before they look to purchase any other items. They have managed to do this without any county assistance so far and are proud of that fact. 1) Currently the oldest son, who is large in stature, is sleeping on a small mattress on the floor. They would really appreciate any donated full size mattress/box spring for him. he will still need to sleep sideways but that is the biggest size that will fit into the shared room. 2) The youngest child is 1 1/2 years old and is constantly on the move. They have their TV set on a glass side table that is wide open underneath. Unfortunately the son keeps walking into it or falling under it and the family is worried that one of these times he will hurt himself. They are hoping for a donated TV stand that is designed in a way that the boy could not fall under it.
