Help Avoid Car Being Repossessed

What caused this need?

This man lives with his wife (a recent immigrant from Ukraine) and daughter. They live in two rented rooms in a house in Shakopee. He uses a Chaska P.O. box as his address because the post office in Chaska is on his way to work. He is the sole breadwinner in the family because his wife can't work until she gets a green card (there is still no word, she applied in June). He works two jobs but neither pays well - - in the mornings he teaches at a private school, and he is a store clerk at night. He is seeking a better job, and he is currently training to become a truck driver. He needs his car to get to and from his two workplaces and to go to truck-driving training. This man was managing OK until he experienced some unexpected financial expenses. Immigration Services demanded $2000 in June, which he paid, but there is still no word about his wife's status. Then his family had $1200 in unexpected medical bills. Then the IRS requested $3900, including fees and penalties, because one of his employers did not deduct taxes from his paycheck for the year 2018. He is now on a payment plan with the IRS. Then this week he had to replace two tires on his car because they "were about to explode." This man is a very hard worker. Since June, he has been proactive about working with the car company, with the IRS, with Immigration, with Workforce, and with the hospital. He has been juggling one bill to partially pay another bill. He told me that if he could just get caught up, he would be fine moving forward financially. He told me that anything would help him and he is very grateful for any assistance received. In the future, within a year, he will be working as a truck driver, with his wife employed with a green card, and their family will be living in better conditions.
