Help a Local Family Save Their Belongings
A local family who has been experiencing homelessness for over a year is facing a heartbreaking situation. They have a storage unit at Acorn Mini Storage in Shakopee where all of their belongings are kept — clothing, furniture, and personal keepsakes. Because they fell behind on payments, the storage company has locked the unit and plans to auction everything off in October if the balance isn’t brought current. The family can afford the monthly payments moving forward, but they can’t afford the $300 lump sum needed right now to stop the auction. This is their last link to the things they’ve worked so hard to hold onto during a really tough season. Losing it would mean starting over with nothing. We’re asking our community to come together to raise $300 to help this family save their belongings and give them hope moving forward. Even small contributions will make a big difference. Thank you for showing kindness and support in helping keep this family’s future intact.$300.00 of $300.00
