Financial need for adapted drivers license

A former Shakopee High School disabled student would like to get her drivers license in order to move on with her life. The main requirement for licensure is that the applicant passes the required medical examination and can safely operate a vehicle while abiding by state laws. The cost of the medical exam is $450.00 and her family is in financial need due to COVID layoffs . She would really like to get this exam and obtain her license in order to go to college and help out her family by providing rides for siblings.
