What caused this need?

Family had to pay out of pocket medical expenses for children's diabetes medications and supplies. Due to that expenditure, the family fell behind on rent and now owes for the last few months. They are at risk for being evicted in October. Medical expenses are now covered, so the family will not be paying out of pocket for those in the near future. These financial donations are necessary for the family to remain in their current housing.
