What caused this need?
Families Moving Forward Southwest seeks assistance for a single mom and two children, ages 9 and 3, who are homeless. Mom is looking for a running used car, approx. $1,000 in value. This family became homeless when Dad was in a serious motorcycle accident, followed by several months in a coma. He was the family breadwinner, so Mom and the two kids couldn't afford rent after the accident. They became homeless and are in shelter with Families Moving Forward. Mom has now found a job but needs reliable transportation. She has saved $500 toward the purchase of a vehicle, and we have located a vehicle that is within her price range, we are looking for someone willing to match her savings so she may purchase the vehicle. Please consider assisting her with this purchase. If she can keep this job, Mom and the kids can keep moving toward getting back into a home of their own.
