Drive Change: Empower Lives with a $2000 Car Donation

What caused this need?

I am writing on behalf of my client. She has remained upbeat and in great spirits after her disability diagnosis, doing her best to give back to her community and care for her ailing Mother. My client would always help her community, taking her neighbors and friends for their grocery runs, or helping them meet needs in other ways, such as doctor appointments. However, after an accident totaled her previous vehicle, she hasn't been able to travel to visit her mother and has battled to make it to appointments on time, as Metro Mobility is often late and can take an entire day away from her, due to all the stops on her route. My client's mental health has quickly deteriorated since the loss of her vehicle. She has found an inexpensive, drivable vehicle and her community has agreed to match a $2000 donation for this vehicle. Your donation would truly help both my client and the general community in Savage, as well as my client's mother who has been receiving services from her daughter. My client's mother is on waitlists to receive the services her daughter provides--her elderly waiver case manager has said there is a provider shortage in her area.
