Disabled, Safe At Home Woman needs Damage Deposit

A woman who is enrolled in the state program, Safe-At-Home, which keeps battered women's address secure from the abuser is being forced to move from a two-bedroom apartment to a one-bedroom apartment since her 16 year-old son has decided to move out and live with his dad, (not the abuser.) She has a housing voucher, which enables her to pay 30% of her income towards her rent. She currently is on the State's General Assistance (GA) for disabled people of only $203.00 a month until the Federal disability program: Social Security Disability can determine if she meets their higher criteria. She has found a place to move that is a one bedroom and will only pay 30% of her check at $67.00 a month, but needs $500.00 damage deposit to pay before they will let her move in MONDAY, September 25th. She says she knows she screwed up by not having this deposit already, but her current rent is $277.00, YES, more than her income per month, but they determined that on a 12 month income and when it was reduced to her current GA of only $203.00 they didn't reduce it!!! She is depressed that her son moved out, has to move to a new residence and is afraid of her abuser, suffering trauma. Can anyone contribute to this cause? She is getting help with the moving truck and expenses already. Please let me know as soon as possible if you can help! She just found out today that her dog is suffering a health impairment and is saddened by this as well. Thank you for reading this request.
